Local 391 will participate in Moral March in Raleigh this Saturday, February 11. The march is the 11th annual gathering at the General Assembly to underscore the legislative agenda of a broad coalition of organizations, including labor unions.
"Teamsters have stood with the NAACP on many issues over the years, including the rights of our police and public school workers to have collective bargaining rights," said Local 391 President Mike McGaha. "We also appreciate their tireless work on behalf of minorities, women, the poor of all races, and children."
McGaha said he hopes many of Local 391's members in the greater Triangle area and eastern North Carolina will participate in this year's gathering and to ensure the Teamster's voice is heard. Local 391 will be holding its Greensboro membership meeting on February 11.
