New Year's Resolution: Attend at Least One Winter/Spring Membership Meeting
Updated On: Jan 07, 2020
As Local 391 members ring in a New Year in 2020 with resolutions to eat better, lose a few pounds, and hit the gym more, President Mike McGaha also encourages members to add attending monthly membership meetings to their resolution lists.
"Commit to making at least one membership meeting this winter and spring and doing it again in the fall," McGaha said. "This is your Union and it's only as strong as our members are engaged. Membership meetings are where you engage the Union, ask questions, and hear what's happening on the ground in our workplaces."
Greensboro meetings are scheduled for the second Saturday of each month and Raleigh meetings on the thrid Saturday of the month. In honor of the Easter holiday on April 12, McGaha said the membership meetings for that month are scheduled for April 18 in Greensboro and April 25 in Raleigh.
"We want to hear from our members and we want to inform you of important news and information about your workplaces, Local 391, the IBT, and the political world," McGaha added.
