Local 391 to Host Official September Membership/Nomination Meetings (Registrations Required)

Local 391 President Mike McGaha announced that the Union will host an official membership meeting via Zoom on Saturday, September 12 at 10AM followed by a Local 391 Nominating Meeting.
Pre-registration by September 11 at 5PM is required for both meetings so membership status can be verified.
"It was my hope that with each passing month, the pandemic would subside and it would be safe for us to hold a membership meeting in person," said Local 391 President Mike McGaha. "While I am still hopeful that we will be together soon, we consulted with the IBT legal department and we are taking the necessary steps required to hold an official membership meeting with minutes, financial reports, and updates on contracts and organizing campaigns."
McGaha said he heard positive feedback from Local 391 members who continued to learn in the unofficial meetings via Zoom and conference call since the spring.
"Throughtout the spring and summer, our members were able to engage Local 391 officers and business agents through very helpful question-and-answer sessions," McGaha said. "In many ways, it was great to get right into the work being done on behalf of our members and to have members ask about issues on their minds. I hope we can continue those conversations in the official meetings starting on September 12."
Attached members will find the notice that was mailed to all Local 391 Stewards for posting.
The instructions to register are on the notice. Each member will have to provide their name, email, phone number, last 4 digits of the SS# and the company they work for. Local 391 members also have to answer “yes” or “no” if they will be attending the Zoom Nomination meeting.
